Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Veil, including the Discord bot, dashboard, public website, OAuth login, moderation tools, tickets, logs, music features and temporary upload tools.
1. The service
Veil is a Discord bot and web dashboard for server management. Features may include moderation, anti-nuke protection, automod, logging, tickets, leveling, music, reaction roles, welcome systems, backups, temporary uploads, analytics and owner-managed premium or identity settings.
2. Eligibility and authority
- You must be allowed to use Discord under Discord's Terms of Service.
- You may only configure Veil for servers where you have proper authorization.
- Server owners and administrators are responsible for how Veil is configured and used in their servers.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Veil to:
- Harass, threaten, dox, stalk or abuse users.
- Evade Discord safety systems, platform rules or legal restrictions.
- Collect unnecessary personal data or expose private ticket/log data to untrusted channels.
- Spam, raid, mass DM, mass mention or automate harmful activity.
- Upload malware, stolen data, illegal content or content you do not have rights to use.
- Attempt to exploit, overload, reverse engineer or disrupt Veil infrastructure.
4. Server administrator responsibilities
- Configure log channels, ticket channels and staff roles carefully.
- Inform server members when logging, transcripts, moderation records or automod systems are used.
- Keep dashboard access, bot tokens and owner-only controls private.
- Review permissions before enabling modules that affect members, channels or roles.
- Comply with Discord rules and applicable laws for your community.
5. Dashboard and OAuth access
The dashboard may use Discord OAuth and/or legacy panel login. You are responsible for keeping your Discord account secure. If your account can manage a server, Veil may show that server in the dashboard. Global owner tools are restricted to configured bot owners.
6. Moderation, logs and tickets
Veil may create moderation cases, logs, warnings, reports, ticket channels and transcripts depending on server settings. These tools are provided to help administrators manage communities, but administrators decide what is enabled and who can access the output.
7. Music features
Music playback depends on third-party providers, network availability and platform restrictions. Veil does not guarantee that any specific track, platform, URL or stream will always work. Users must respect copyright, Discord rules and provider terms.
8. Temporary uploads and user content
If upload features are available, you are responsible for files you upload or share. Veil may remove files, disable upload access or block abuse. Temporary uploads are not intended as permanent storage.
9. Premium, paid or owner-managed features
Premium status, visual plans, support status, custom bot identity and owner-only tools may be managed by the bot owner. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, premium-related features may change, be paused or be removed as the service evolves.
10. Availability and changes
Veil is provided on an as-available basis. Features may be updated, limited, renamed, moved, disabled or removed. Outages may happen because of Discord API changes, hosting issues, rate limits, provider restrictions or maintenance.
11. Suspension and removal
Access to Veil may be limited, suspended or removed if a server or user abuses the service, violates these terms, creates security risk, violates Discord rules or harms the service. The bot owner may refuse service where necessary.
12. Disclaimers
Veil is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose or error-free behavior. Anti-nuke, automod, backup and moderation tools reduce risk but cannot guarantee complete protection.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Veil and its operators are not responsible for indirect damages, lost data, lost revenue, server disruption, moderation mistakes, third-party outages or misuse by server administrators.

15. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Veil changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date. Continued use of Veil after changes means you accept the updated terms.
